Free Webinar wednesday October 2 2024: What REALLY Motivates Employees
Every manager wants their employees to be motivated but the traditional tools like promises of rewards or threats of punishment just don’t work very well. Worst of all is of course bringing in a motivational speaker.
In this webinar we will cover exactly how to sustainably motivate employees. Content includes:
- How NOT to motivate employees
- The most fascinating and relevant research about the link between motivation and employee happiness
- Why reward and punishment always fail as motivators
- How to get employees to motivate themselves
- Great examples from some of the world’s happiest workplaces

Can we use rewards to make people start an habit?
-
I really don’t think so. I think it has the exact same problem, namely that the reward becomes the motivation which is not sustainable.
But there is some evidence that celebrating actions can reinforce new habits. So if you celebrate yourself or with friends when you take action to start a new habit (like running or eating healthy) then that can help from habits.
